Supportive services for expectant families typically include:

  • Birthing and parenting classes
  • New baby education
  • Nutrition education
  • Lactation and breastfeeding support
  • Access to basic needs (diapers, car seats, baby clothing, formula)
  • Referrals to community services

Additional Information

The Becoming Program provides young women information on how to stay healthy throughout a pregnancy and prepare for parenting or adoption

This program provides:

  • Prenatal, postnatal, and parenting education
  • Nurse visits at the clinic, home, school or other site
  • Individual case management
  • Building skills to increase confidence in parenting abilities
  • Childbirth preparation education
  • Early screening for depression and other mental health issues
  • Increased bonding between you and your baby
  • Gifts for you and your baby
