Eligibility
Income guidelines:
- Individuals making $40,000 or less per year
- Families making $60,000 or less per year
- Self-employed (with no employees) and make more than $10,000 of self-employment income but less than the thresholds above
They can't help you if you have income from rental income, any tax filing requirements involving cryptocurrency, or filed bankruptcy in the tax year you wish to file. There are also other, less common situations that may apply.
