Employment preparation and career training program that provides experience or vocational education for the work associated with a certain type of job
Additional Information
Provides academic and vocational training to migrant and seasonal farm workers help participants become economically self-sufficient.
The National Farmworker Jobs Program includes:
- Emergency supportive services (nutritional, transportation, housing, utilities)
- Vocational skills training
- Customized training
- Job readiness skills
- Work experience
- On-the-job training
- Computer literacy
- English as a Second Language
- Agricultural upgrade training
- Pesticide safety training
MET also serves low-income and disadvantaged populations throughout the agency's service area.

Eligible participants are:
- Seasonal farmworkers primarily employed in agricultural labor with long periods of unemployment or underemployment
- Disadvantaged
- Citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylees, parolee and other authorized immigrants
