Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center

Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners

This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.

Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.

Advocates provide support, advocacy and case management services to victims of domestic and sexual violence

Domestic violence program includes:

Intervention program for women and girls who have experienced any sort of sexual violence or abuse.

Sexual assault advocacy provides:

Crisis intervention
Individual and group counseling
Forensic examination support
Court advocacy
Assist with making police reports, initiating criminal investigation proceedings, and obtaining orders of protection against perpetrators

Cultural Organization Cultural organizations are available to support a specific cultural community or a group of cultural communities.
Family Home Visiting Expectant parents and parents or caregivers of young children can receive in-home support including education on pregnancy topics, parenting skills and connections to community resources.
Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) Short-term help for low-income families, youth and single adults who are homeless or are about to become homeless
Parenting Support Education and support for parents, or soon to be parents
