Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners
Description
This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.
Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.
Additional Information
Free services for victims of emotional, physical or sexual assault include:
- A confidential and safe place to talk
- Emotional support
- Information and referral
- Individual counseling
- Safety planning
- Crisis intervention (24/7 telephone line)
- Assistance in dealing with legal, medical and human services systems
- Finding access to resources
- Assistance with applying for crime victims' compensation
