Immediate support and advice for people in distress
Description
Crisis lines provide immediate support to help ensure a person's safety and help them take the next steps toward resolving a problem.
Crisis intervention hotlines/helplines are available through telephone, email, chat, text or other communication methods.
Additional Information
The Deaf Crisis Line and the Disaster Distress Helpline Videophone are resources for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and American Sign Language (ASL) users.
Both operate as a videophone, a face-to-face platform that offers callers direct connection to trained crisis counselors fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
