Low cost car repair services

Help with minor automobile repair and maintenance problems

Eligibility restrictions may apply.

Provides a free one-time grant for needed repairs and maintenance costs.

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and living in Ramsey or Washington County
Household must have a total income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline
The vehicle being repaired must be required to maintain or obtain employment
Applicant must have a valid MN driver's license and be able to provide proof that they are the owner of the vehicle and have current insurance coverage
Car must meet the standards for the program
Vehicle must be 15 years or newer

Car Ownership Program Helps employed people purchase a car through a low interest loan
Community Action Agency Provides programs and services that help individuals and families with low incomes.
Early Head Start Program that serves infants and toddlers under the age of 3, and expectant families. Provides intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families and pregnant women
Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) Short-term help for low-income families, youth and single adults who are homeless or are about to become homeless
Head Start Program that supports children's growth from ages 3 - 5 through services that support early learning and development, health, and family well-being.
Job Training Learn how to do the tasks for a type of job
Transitional Housing Time-limited housing and support services for individuals and/or families
Weatherization Assistance Program Helps low-income homeowners and renters to reduce energy costs
