Description
Offers an intervention model for children ages 0 - 5 years who have experienced a traumatic event and are experiencing mental health, attachment, or behavioral problems.
- The type of trauma experienced, and the child's age or developmental stage determines the structure of the sessions.
- Treatment involves weekly hour-long sessions and are generally conducted by a therapist. Parent and child are guided over the course of treatment to create a joint narrative of the traumatic event and to identify and address traumatic triggers that generate dysregulated behaviors and affects.
