Additional Information

This program helps workers get back to work as quickly as possible after a lay off. If you have been laid off (or notified that a lay-off is coming) through no fault of your own, these free services prepare you to find a suitable new job.

Employment programs include:

• Layoff and job loss counseling
• Career planning and counseling
• Job search and placement
• Counselor-approved training
• Adult education and literacy
• Occupational skills training
• Other support services
• Classroom training
• Employer based training
• Case management
• Job search and placement

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet one of the follow requirements:

• Lost a job because of a plant/business closing or mass layoff
• Out of work through no fault of your own, be eligible for or have run out of unemployment insurance benefits and be unlikely to find work in your previous occupation.
• Formerly self-employed, including farming or ranching, and are unemployed because of the general economic conditions in your community

Serves Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Pine, Renville, Sherburne, and Wright counties.
