Food support is available to people in need

Description

Food is distributed to those who need it. The emergency food is typically made available through donations.

Additional Information

Serves all those in need by providing culturally specific foods and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Participants shop for the groceries that best fit their dietary and family needs through a client choice shopping model.

Fresh Food Thursdays Free fresh produce is distributed from summer through early fall on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at the office in Brooklyn Center. Numbers are handed out at 11:30am and distribution begins at 12:00pm ending at 2:00pm.

Fresh Produce Distribution Dates for 2024: July 11th, July 25th, August 8th, August 22nd, September 12th, September 26th, and October 10th

Eligibility

  • The food shelf serves qualified low-income families and individuals in the Hennepin County area.
  • 300% or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines

Application Instructions

No appointment is needed. You may bring a form of identification with you but it is not a requirement.

1:00pm - 4:00pm, Tuesday 9:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Wednesday and Thursday
