Resources and supports for American Indian children and families living on and off Tribal Nation lands.
There are 11 federally recognized Tribes that share geography with Minnesota. Each Tribe is a sovereign nature with its own government and unique services available to support families in their communities.

Services that are uniquely designed to support parents and caregivers of American Indian children, such as family home visiting, parent-to-parent connections, parenting classes and cultural opportunities.
Family Home Visiting (For ages: Prenatal to 5 years; varies by program)
Programs listed are using resources that are specifically focused to support American Indian children and family members, such as the Family Spirit model. Family home visiting (FHV) is a voluntary program for families who are pregnant or who have very young children. Trained home visitors meet individually with families in their community to provide social, emotional, health-related, and parenting support and information, and to link them to other helpful resources.
Inpatient and outpatient healthcare facilities that support American Indian children and families living on and off Tribal Nation lands.
Child and Teen Checkups Coordinators can help with medical or dental appointments or transportation to appointments. Search on the website by Tribe or county for connections to Tribal services for families living on and off Tribal Nation lands. Note: not all Tribal Nations have a C&TC Coordinator. If you don't see your tribe listed, contact the coordinator for the county closest to you.
