Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners
Description
This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.
Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.
Additional Information
Women of Nations is a non-reservation based, culturally-focused domestic violence program for women and children fleeing domestic violence. They provide specific services for Native American women and children.
Support services include:
- Crisis intervention
- Transportation for medical, judicial and other appointments
- Advocacy and case management
- Safety planning and Order for Protection filing
- Support and educational groups
- Spiritually and culturally specific support for Native American battered women
- Youth-specific programming
- Substance Use Disorder counseling and support
