Domestic Violence Support Services - DOVE
Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners
Description
This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.
Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.
Additional Information
The Down on Violence Everyday (DOVE) program offers help to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, dating violence, elder abuse and human trafficking.
Services include:
- Crisis Intervention
- Advocacy (systems, legal, personal)
- Transportation for medical and legal appointments related to crime
- Empowerment sessions
- Assistance with orders for protection/harassment restraining orders
- Shelter and/or Safe Housing
- Information and referrals
- Assistance with creating safety plans
- Support during evidentiary exams
- Court accompaniment and support
- Assistance with victim impact statements
