Breastfeeding and Lactation Consultant

Support to families and babies learning how to breastfeed

Description

Consultants can provide breastfeeding support and education for both prenatal and postpartum moms.

Services can include personal assessments, suggestions for troubleshooting common breastfeeding issues, education about equipment, and information and support.

Additional Information

Provides in-home lactation counseling for 2 hours (3 hours for multiples) including:

• Individual lactation plan
• Follow up within 24 hours
• Unlimited aftercare support via text or email for 1 week following the home visit

During the session the Lactation Specialist will take a detailed history, observe 1 - 2 feeds, weigh the baby and correct latch and positioning as needed.
