Crisis Nursery

Short-term child care for families going through a crisis or stressful situation

Description

Immediate child care is available to kids that need temporary supervision. A crisis nursery is generally available on a 24/7 basis. Crisis intervention services can include child abuse prevention and family support programs.

Services are available to families experiencing:

  • Medical or mental health concerns
  • Housing problems
  • Financial strain or lapse in Child Care Assistance benefit
  • Divorce or separation
  • Family violence
  • Emergency situations

Additional Information

Children may stay for up to 48 hours at a time from Friday until Sunday.

Children are provided with:

  • Overnight care
  • Three meals a day
  • Clothes to wear during their stay
  • Bathing if needed and authorized by the parent

Open on weekends. Appointments are scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays and scheduled intakes happen on Fridays and child pickups happen in the morning and afternoon on Sundays allowing two nights of care for children

Application Instructions

Intake appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8:00am on Thursdays. Leave a voicemail after 8:00am on Thursday.
