Domestic Violence Support Services
Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners
Description
This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.
Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.
Additional Information
Provides support services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse, including:
- Help filing an Order for Protection
- Assist with filing Harassment Orders
- Accompanying survivors to court hearings and explaining the legal process
- Accompanying survivors to the hospital
- Assistance in reporting to the police
- Assist with filing reparation claims
- Support groups for domestic abuse and sexual violence survivors
- Information and referral to community resources
Also facilitates the Teens Against Dating Abuse (TADA) program designed to educate teens in the Onamia, Milaca, Mora, Ogilvie, and Princeton school districts about abuse in dating and relationships.
