Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners
Description
This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.
Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.
Additional Information
Advocates provide support, advocacy and case management services to victims of domestic and sexual violence
Domestic violence program includes:
- Intervention program for women and girls who have experienced any sort of sexual violence or abuse.
Sexual assault advocacy provides:
- Crisis intervention
- Individual and group counseling
- Forensic examination support
- Court advocacy
- Assist with making police reports, initiating criminal investigation proceedings, and obtaining orders of protection against perpetrators
