Transportation program that provides rides for people in and around their community

Additional Information

Transit Link is shared-ride public transportation where regular route transit service is infrequent or unavailable

  • Used for trips that can't be accomplished on regular transit routes alone, and may combine regular route and Transit Link service.
  • Transit Link is a curb to curb (on street) service and buses are not allowed to pull into residential driveways.
  • A copy of the Transit Link Rider Guide is now available in Braille
  • Riders with disabilities: All vehicles are equipped with lifts
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certified riders using Transit Link outside the Metro Mobility service area may request door-to-door assistance. Passengers should request additional assistance when reserving a ride.

Metro Mobility provides:

  • Provides a bus service for people who can't use regular bus routes because of a health condition or disability. Door-to-door service is provided to people that qualify.
  • Rides are provided for any reason. Riders pay a fare for each one-way ride

Metro Mobility - Premium On-Demand Service allows:

  • Metro Mobility customers to book a taxi at a reduced rate for same-day rides or rides up to four days in advance

Metro Move - Serves people who have a disability and are served by a waiver

  • This service will link waiver participants to day support programs, work, and other community destinations

Metro Vanpool provides financial assistance for vanpools of 5 or more people including the volunteer driver.

Eligibility

Transit Link: Operates outside areas covered by regular route transit

Metro Mobility: Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines determine eligibility. People are generally eligible if:

  • They are physically unable to get to the regular fixed-route bus,
  • They are unable to navigate regular fixed-route bus systems once they are on board, or
  • They are unable to board and exit the bus at some locations.

Metro Move: Serves people who have a disability and are served by a Brain Injury (BI) waiver, Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) waiver, or a Developmental Disability (DD) waiver

Metro Mobility - Premium On-Demand Service allows:

  • Available 600:am - 1000:pm, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 10:00pm, Saturday and Sunday

Fee

Transit Link Fares

  • Peak fares each way: $4.50 weekdays from 6:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Off-Peak fares each way: $3.50
  • Holidays: $3.50
  • A $0.75 surcharge will be assessed for trips longer than 15 miles
  • Children age 5 and under ride free; up to 4 children can ride free

Metro Mobility fares

  • Riders are required to pay a fare for each one-way ride. Drivers do not make change, so it is important to have the correct fare
  • Off-peak fares are $3.50 per one-way trip. Peak fares are $4.50 per one-way trip. Holidays all day are $3.50
