Assists parents with child support, custody and parenting time issues.

Description

Services include:

  • Parent Education
  • Assistance with ProSeMotions - Modify child support, change of custody, parenting time assistance, and establishing custody. No legal counsel is provided, but help with filling out court forms, gathering information, and scheduling hearing dates is available.
  • One-on-One Support - Difficult parenting issues, visitation schedules, and relationship building.

Residents of Becker, Clay, Grant, Morrison, Otter Tail, Pope, Todd, Traverse and Wilkin counties or individuals who have a court case

  • Early Head Start Program that serves infants and toddlers under the age of 3, and expectant families. Provides intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families and pregnant women
  • Energy Assistance Program Helps renters and homeowners pay their home heating bills and may also assist homeowners to fix or replace their broken furnace
  • Family and Community Resource Navigator Navigators within local community organizations help pregnant families and those with children find and connect with local early childhood and family well-being services.
  • Help Paying for Basic Needs - Family Development Short term help for basic needs like food, shelter and transportation
  • Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) Medical Assistance benefit to help people with disabilities and seniors find and keep housing
