Provides direct support services to blind or deaf-blind people to help them live as independently as possible

Description

Blind or visually impaired support services involve direct support to people who are blind, deaf-blind, or those with low vision. Program focuses on teaching Independent Living Skills (ILS) to people with a visual impairment.

Additional Information

The Lighthouse's Adjustment to Blindness training program offers comprehensive, highly-individualized training that helps people with significant vision loss master the skills needed to remain involved and independent in all aspects of daily life.

Individuals and/or family members can contact the Lighthouse directly with the online referral form or by calling (218) 624-4828. Doctors or social service agencies may also make a referral.
