KOOTASCA Community Action, Inc. (CAP)

Helps prepare young parents with classes or other educational programs and support

Parenting education program that works with parenting and pregnant youth to help them succeed.

Education for teen parents can include classes, workshops or alternative learning settings.

Helps pregnant and parenting teens learn parenting and life skills education:

Works with schools to earn credits toward high school graduation
Provides parenting and life skills education
Provides a foundation and direction for post-high school education or entrance into the workforce
Provides home visits, crisis support and support in life goals
Helps teen parents form a support network and connect with their community
Advocates for teen parents and help them grow their own voice to advocate for themselves
Moms' class meets on Wednesday
Dads' class meets on Friday

Early Head Start Program that serves infants and toddlers under the age of 3, and expectant families. Provides intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families and pregnant women
Energy Assistance Program Helps renters and homeowners pay their home heating bills and may also assist homeowners to fix or replace their broken furnace
Head Start Program that supports children's growth from ages 3 - 5 through services that support early learning and development, health, and family well-being.
Transitional Housing Time-limited housing and support services for individuals and/or families
Weatherization Assistance Program Helps low-income homeowners and renters to reduce energy costs
