Programming or supplies to help parents or potential parents succeed in the parenting role
This can include classes, workshops, information, educational opportunities, or equipment/supplies.
Additional Information
Connected is a free state-wide parent-to-parent peer support program for families whose children have chronic or complex special healthcare needs or disabilities.
Parents will receive support such as:
- Connection with another parent who has child with similar needs or circumstances
- Emotional support that provides understanding and acceptance so they do not feel alone
- Assistance finding services including healthcare, educational, financial, and community living
- Education, empowerment and encouragement to partner with their child's providers
- Navigating Healthcare Costs and Services website for parents
