Support program focusing on domestic abuse of individuals by their spouses or partners

Description

This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence.

Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic violence education and prevention.

Additional Information

The domestic abuse counseling program is for people who are court ordered and also people who choose to come to the program without a court order.

The program is under the law of Minnesota statute (518B.02) for court-ordered domestic abuse programs. This group meets for 24 weeks.

Eligibility

Adult men

Accepts both people who are court-ordered and people who self-refer (choose to come without a court order)

Fee

If this service is covered by a person's insurance, they will directly bill their insurance company, and Effective Living Center will work with them to set up an individualized, private, payment plan that they can incorporate into their personal budget.
