Offers cash or other short term aid to people in a crisis that is affecting their access to basic needs

Emergency assistance can vary based upon eligibility and available funds.

Additional Information

Can help prevent having power shutoff by connecting people with help through:

• Energy Assistance (through Three Rivers Community Action)
• Heat Share (through the Salvation Army)
• Emergency Assistance (through Rice County Social Services or Catholic Charities Rural Outreach)
• If enough help is not available, Community Action Center may provide an interest free loan or a small grant from another funding source for utility payments

Intake Procedure: Call for appointment. Bring current proof of residence and income
