Description
The Ombudsperson Office works with people who are enrolled in a managed health care plan for their Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare benefits. The ombudsperson can:
- Help you navigate and understand your health care coverage
- Help you communicate and work with your health plan
- Help you identify your options
- Help you understand your rights
- Help you with access, service and billing questions
- Provide education on navigating the health care system
- Inform members about the process for filing a grievance, health plan appeal and state appeal
