Breastfeeding and Lactation Consultant
Support to families and babies learning how to breastfeed
Description
Consultants can provide breastfeeding support and education for both prenatal and postpartum moms.
Services can include personal assessments, suggestions for troubleshooting common breastfeeding issues, education about equipment, and information and support.
Additional Information
Maternal Child Health is a short-term home visiting program during pregnancy, birth and postpartum
- Provides assessments including infant weight checks and breastfeeding consultations
Baby Cafe is a free breastfeeding support group offering ongoing professional lactation care and intervention by a certified lactation consultant
- Sessions are offered from 9:00am - 11:00m, Wednesdays
