Time-limited housing and support services for individuals and/or families

Description

Provides housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need of safe housing.

Transitional housing helps people live independently, address issues that led to homelessness or kept them homeless, rebuild their support network and transition into permanent housing.

The length of time a person can use the program is limited.

Offers transitional housing programs for men and for women and children

Programs include:

  • Basics needs met (food, shelter, clothing)
  • Physical and mental health care
  • Job training
  • Assistance to find permanent housing

About This Location

Houses homeless, adult women with or without children whose lives have been affected by chemical use, minor physical or cognitive disabilities, domestic violence or unstable mental health

All Naomi Family Residence participants begin in a 30-day shelter program to get stabilized. Participants then enter the Housing Plus program or the Shelter Plus program.

Housing Plus includes:

  • 30-60 days of shelter and programming
  • Case management to find permanent housing and resources
  • Classes and resources to transition back to the community

Shelter Plus includes:

  • 1 - 2 years of shelter and programming
  • Case management for establish and support long-term goals
  • Adult basic education program for educational and career goals

Women with children may only have up to four children who are between 0 - 10 years old.

Eligibility

Naomi Family Residence serves:

  • Women age 18 or older
  • Women with or without children
  • Maximum of 4 children between birth and 10 years of age
  • Affected by addiction issues and/or domestic violence issues
  • Desiring spiritual guidance and teaching
  • In need of basic life skills
  • Physically able to participate in daily programming
  • Willing to comply with all program rules and cooperate with staff
  • Committed to actively participating in all aspects of the program

Bethel Hotel program serves homeless men

Accepts individuals with criminal histories.
