Time-limited housing and support services for individuals and/or families
Description
Provides housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need of safe housing.
Transitional housing helps people live independently, address issues that led to homelessness or kept them homeless, rebuild their support network and transition into permanent housing.
The length of time a person can use the program is limited.
Additional Information
Families Moving Forward program offers families experiencing homelessness hospitality, emergency shelter and a path to home with support for stability.

Eligibility
Serves homeless families Families Moving Forward is unable to serve families with recent or serious criminal activity on record.
Application Instructions
If you have children under the age of 18 and need shelter now, you may be eligible to participate in the family shelter program.
In Hennepin County, call the county shelter team at (612) 348-9410. You may request the Families Moving Forward program.
The program currently takes referrals from the shelter team and agencies only -it does not take calls directly from families at this time.
In Scott or Carver counties, call the shelter openings line of the Families Moving Forward Southwest program at (952) 767-0708.
