School Readiness programs are designed to support preschoolers so they can start kindergarten with the skills and behaviors of successful life-long learners.
The programs are offered by public school districts.

Eligibility
Minnesota children age three years to kindergarten enrollment who meet one or more of the following requirements:
- Qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch
- Is an English learner
- Is homeless
- Has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Is identified through health and developmental screenings, or defined as at-risk by the school district

Programs have a sliding fee based on family income. Fees may must be waived for families unable to pay.
